Music, to me, sounds lovely in any form. A subconscious hum, carefree whistle, bathroom performances, practiced concerts, orchestrated melody. Some are planned, others are impromptu.
There is a new genre of group performance that is meticulously planned & presented as a seemingly chance event. We know it. We (most of us) love it. It's a Flash Mob. The thrill of being caught unawares by one, I've been told, is incomparable. Even more so when you get to join in it.
Though we have all seen hundreds of videos by now, Flash mobs sans dance (i.e. singing, orchestral) have rarely been spoken of. Here are a few brilliant such moments of joyful surprises.

Why don't these things ever happen when I'm visiting the malls? Or the library? Or on the streets? There has never been a musical flash mob precedence in India. This is quite surprising. I would really love to see one happen.
