In today's edition, we see the 4th thiruppavai. In the first Paasuram, Sri Andal says about the period and time during which the Paavai Noanbhu has to be started. In the second Paasuram, she explains about the procedures and the way the Noanbhu needs to be performed. In the 3rd Paasuram, she explains that as a result of this Paasuram, we will be blessed with proper rain, which makes the agriculture yield very better. In the 4th Paasuram, she explains how the rain should shower.

As soon as Sri Andal sang this Paasuram, the rain god - Varunan came in front of her and asks how should give rain to the world. The above Paasuram explains: -

"Hey Paavais! During this Margazhi month, we all should praise about the greatness of Thiruvadi of Sriman Naraynan, who incarnated as Sri Vamanan who showed his Thiru Vikrama roopams. By chanting and taking up this Thiruppavai Viradham, the word will be blessed with good amount of rain. And as a result of this, there will be proper vegetation, which makes the country progress better. In the water, the fish's starts jumping and lots of flower will show their beauty. As a result of the rain, all the grass and leaves will be fresh and the cows will eat them, which symbolizes the love and affection as it gives milk to everyone without expecting anything in return. This vegetation and wealth never diminishes and protects the entire world."

Words and the meanings:

Aazhimazhai Kanna :
In this Paasuram, the first word Aazhi means the sea.

Aazhiyul Pukku Muganthukodu Aarthu Yaeri :
Sri Andal says that the rain should enter into the sea and should raise to the extent of the sky.

Meykaruthu :
Refers to the Kaarvannan (black) of Sriman Narayanan.
Parpanabhan :
Refers to Sriman Narayanan.
Kayyil Aazhi Pol Minni, Valampuri pol Nindra thirathirnthu :

Sri Andal explains that the rain should be. The thunder and the rain should be like the Sangu and chakkaram that is found along with Padmanabhan. (Sriman Narayanan).
